About

Heather Hahn portrait

I design florals that feel organic, textural, and emotionally intentional.

My approach is rooted in the belief that flowers should feel as natural in an arrangement as they do in the landscape. I'm drawn to compositions with movement, depth, and a sense of quiet drama.

Before moving into floral design, I spent years in modeling and brand work, where I developed a strong understanding of composition, storytelling, and visual framing. That background shapes how I see flowers: not just as materials, but as elements within a larger visual narrative.

I am currently completing the Floral Design Certificate at the New York Botanical Garden, New York City's oldest and most prestigious floral design program. Through over 140 hours of intensive coursework and hands-on studio practice, including wedding design, grand-scale installations, color theory, event planning, and business foundations. I have created more than 40 original designs while developing both technical mastery and a refined personal aesthetic. The program also includes an 80-hour internship and portfolio review, grounding my creative work in real-world experience and professional standards.

I find inspiration in nature, architecture, fashion, and the quiet beauty of everyday gardens. Whether designing for a grand wedding or an intimate editorial, my goal is always the same: to create work that feels intentional, immersive, and alive.

Design Philosophy

Seasonal-First

Every arrangement begins with what the season offers. I work with local growers and forage when possible, letting nature lead the color palette and material choices.

Movement Over Rigidity

Flowers should feel alive -- as though a breeze just passed through. I design for organic flow and gesture, never stiff or overly structured forms.

Sculptural & Romantic

Each piece balances architectural intention with soft, romantic beauty. I draw from both fine art and the natural landscape to create dimensional compositions.

Emotionally Intentional

Color, texture, and scale are chosen to evoke a specific feeling. Whether quiet and meditative or lush and celebratory, every choice is deliberate.
